Earlier this month, the Disneyland Resort was honored at OC Human Relations’ Awards 45 event with the “Distinguished Business Award” for embracing diversity in how it recruits, hires and develops its 29,000 cast members, engages guests from around the world and supports diverse students and nonprofits in Orange County.
Michael Colglazier, president of the Disneyland Resort, was honored with the Orange County Visitors Association’s Chairman’s Award. Colglazier was recognized for contributions to the growth of tourism in Orange County, including his role in bringing a Star Wars-themed land to Anaheim and overseeing the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration.
Elva Rubalcava, manager of Disneyland Resort Corporate Citizenship, was named Woman of the Year, Corporate Responsibility by the National Hispanic Business Women Association. Rubalcava has led several Disneyland Resort initiatives that serve the community including scholarships to diverse students.
