On November 19, 2015, OC Human Relations non-profit founder and CEO, Rusty Kennedy was recognized as “Outstanding Founder” at Orange County’s Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Orange County Chapter, presented its 30th annual National Philanthropy Day® Awards Luncheon on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at The Hotel Irvine. The luncheon honored outstanding volunteers, philanthropists and organizations throughout Orange County whose dedication and generosity greatly enrich the quality of our community. More than 900 of the county’s most prominent citizens attend this luncheon every year to honor amazing philanthropists and hear many heartwarming stories of service and support.
2015 was a real milestone year for National Philanthropy Day-it was founded 30 years ago by local philanthropist and attorney Doug Freeman and is now celebrated by more than 100 Association of Fundraising Professionals chapters throughout the US, Canada and China. Once again, Orange County leads the way!
The National Philanthropy Day Committee received over 120 nominations for the 2015 awards, and they were judged by a panel of dozens of leading community members.
