On Tuesday, January 5, AUHSD Superintendent Mike Matsuda visited our BRIDGES/PAL classroom at South Jr. High School.

At South Jr. High, BRIDGES students are planning an Oral History Project to commemorate Martin Luther King Day and also bringing Gonzalo Mendez and the Civil Rights Exhibit for their open house. Here are some pictures of BRIDGES students practicing their oral history interview with the Superintendent- a project that he is very excited about and expressed his strong support for.

Mr. Matsuda is being recognized by Education Week as one of the leading Superintendents in the nation.  We at OC Human Relations, and the BRIDGES/PAL students, are most grateful for his support.
