Today the Orange County Sheriff’s Department posted a message and video on social media, we’d like to share it with you:

It’s #worldkindnessday. Today, (and everyday) we encourage you to extend kindness to someone – send an uplifting text, write a note expressing gratitude, hold the door for a stranger.

We’d love to hear what you are doing for others, or what someone has done for you!

According to OC Human Relations, 67 hate crimes were reported in 2018, up 12% from 2017. The most common targeted groups were Jewish, Muslim, Latino, LGBTQ+ and African American communities. We believe in treating all the communities we serve with respect & kindness every day. #WorldKindnessDay

A little bit of kindness goes a long way. 💚 #ServiceAboveSelf
Support each other, respect each other, and be kind to each other because in Orange County, there is
#NoPlaceForHate

Thank you Orange County Sheriff’s Department, in these times of increasing divisiveness and intolerance, it’s heartening to see a message of inclusion and respect such as this.
