OC Human Relations’ annual YouthSpeak Speech Contest is a county-wide search for the top human relations speech written by an 8th-12th grade student.  This year, students were asked to submit a short, inspirational speech on the theme of what nonviolent practices mean to young people today.

After reading through a multitude of high-quality entries and listening to the speeches of the short-listed students, the Board of OC Human Relations has selected Christine Panlasigui, a student at Sunny Hills High School, as the recipient of the 2015 award.

Christine delivered her speech at Awards 44 on May 7 and received a cash scholarship of $500.
